LIFE Programme 2026: Funding Europe’s Green Transition

Share it

The European Commission’s LIFE Programme 2026 continues to support ambitious projects contributing to environmental protection, climate action and Europe’s transition towards a more sustainable and resilient economy.

With more than €600 million in funding opportunities, the 2026 calls cover four key areas:

  • Nature and Biodiversity
  • Circular Economy and Quality of Life
  • Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
  • Clean Energy Transition

The programme supports projects that deliver concrete environmental and climate impact, encourage innovative solutions, strengthen cooperation between organisations and public authorities, and contribute to the implementation of European environmental and energy policies.

The 2026 calls include Standard Action Projects, Strategic Nature Projects, Strategic Integrated Projects, Technical Assistance and dedicated actions supporting the Clean Energy Transition.

While the main deadlines for the 2026 calls were in September, selected strategic calls continue into their second stage, with full proposals for Strategic Nature Projects and Strategic Integrated Projects due in March 2027.
